|1967 Topps Wacky Packages Die Cuts Uncut Proof Sheet! Direct from Topps' legendary Vault, this one-of-a-kind lot is a must for the serious Wacky Packages fan. Collectors, this is the actual blank-back unscored cardboard die-cut proof sheet used by Topps artists in the production of the 1973 Topps Wacky Packages Cloth Stickers. This lot originates from the 1973 Topps Wacky Packages Cloth Stickers job bag. This historic work-in-progress sheet features countless hand-written production notes documenting the birth of this splendid Topps issue. This sheet does feature above average wear but given its sheer importance in the scheme of things, wear becomes irrelevant. In 1972, the Topps production team marked-up this 1967 Die-Cut proof sheet, thus beginning the process of creating the 1973 Cloth Stickers set. The taboo die-cuts including Ratz and Cracked are covered with taped-on paper notes listing a replacement image. The sheet is hand dated 11/15/72. Note the Mrs. Klean sticker is misspelled on the bottom paper covering even though the correct spelling appears on the same sticker located on third row.|
|Original images (all marked with an x in black listo pen) present under the paper coverings include, Ratz, Cracked Animals, Fearstone, Spider Soup, Coronation Milk, Cracked Jerk, Miller Low Life, Alcohol Seltzer, Moron Salt, Schmutz, Jolly Mean Giant, Slum Maid, Boredom's and De-Mented. It's safe to say that the above average wear associated with this sheet is due to the fact that it was passed around quite a bit during the production process. In order to show some of the taboo stickers such as Ratz and Cracked, we folded back several of the paper coverings in the lower scan. A real find for the serious Wacky Packages fanatic!
