I too collected them as a kid in '73 & '74. Had them completely covering my closet door. I used to save my allowance and buy them by the box for $2.40, so I must have had a lot of extras. No idea when they were thrown out. I did save the closet door for a while after it was replaced! I never thought they would be so easy to find and buy today -- at a premium. So now I've re-collected the original series 1-10, as well as the new series 1-3 (just cuz I could), but they don't compare to the old ones. They seem to be too busy and complicated. The originals were usually a much simpler gag. And of course the fantastic artwork of Norm Saunders (RIP. I wonder if his tombstone is wacky?) Although the Cannibal's Soup from the upcoming 2006 series 4 could pass as a classic in my opinion. We'll see about the rest of the series...

I loved the W.P. since I was a kid.
Even today some 35 years later I still use them to cheer myself up.
Other adults don't see the humor and
say I'm crazy, even regressing. Believe it or not in this screwed up
world Wacky Packages keep me sane.
Thank You

I always loved wackys.I had all 1973-76 series 1-16 up until 1998.Then my Dad without knowing what he was doing threw them out.I still haven't gotten over that.So now I am trying to buy them all back a little at a time. But it's a little harder than when I was a kid when I'd take my 25 cent allowance every week and buy 5 wacky packs. So if you have some to sell email me what you have and how much you want. Thanks in advance.

I was 9 years old in 1973 when the "1st Series" was hot. My friends and I were crazy for wackys that summer. We even drew our own wackys. Our humor at the time was based heavily upon vomiting, farting and diarrhea. My masterpiece... "Choka-Cola - It will make you barf!"
